barismo coffee

barismo is a Greater Boston area coffee roaster & retailer dedicated to sourcing, roasting & brewing high quality, fresh roasted coffees. We work to foster sustainable & transparent relationships with the top coffee growers, millers, exporters & importers in the world.

WHAT'S NEW:

  • Spring lineup of Colombia's have started to land at the cargo terminal in New Jersey. Once they clear customs and get released by the warehouse, they'll be in our hands and on our way to you. We have five single producer microlots arriving, ranging in size from one to nine bags each.
  • Harvest in Guatemala & Costa Rica is winding down; contracts get written in March & April, then coffees will start arriving May-July for summer/fall release.
  • We've released our annual Coffee Sourcing Transparency Report. Why? In a market increasingly saturated with coffees dressed up in the progressive language of direct trade, it’s getting harder and harder for consumers to cut through the noise to find truly quality coffees. By giving our customers a window into our sourcing financials, we could provide concrete evidence to defend our coffees’ quality and show how our prices translate to real benefits for coffee producers.

Each year Humberto oversees processing of all the coffees we purchase at Hacienda Santa Rosa (Buena Esperanza, Cerro Verde, El Plan, Peña Blanca). 2016-2017 harvest coffees will be on a boat to us soon!

We're proud of what we pay coffee producers for their work, and believe that roasters shouldn't keep those numbers a secret. Learn more in our annual sourcing transparency report.
