In most of the coffee-growing world, the varieties of coffee being grown come from the same relatively narrow genetic pool. Ethiopia, coffee's native homeland, has a wildly different world of coffee varieties that date back ore than a millennium. Ethiopian coffees at their best are explosively fragrant and boast distinctive floral and fruit tones.
With some origins we tend to be cautious about coffees that have aged significantly past harvest; we've had very good luck with Ethiopia's tasting great a year off harvest, and in this case have been able to deliver a classic washed, fruited and aromatic Ethiopia at a great value.
