After shoveling out our loading door this AM we’re getting Cerro Verde ready for release next week. This lot is from the same farm as Buena Esperanza & Pena Blanca (base of our Clockwork Espresso); it’s grown mid-level on the farm, about 5000 feet above sea level. This harvest has a really unique fruit juice mouthfeel; really enjoying this as our AM coffee.
Tomorrow is looking increasingly dicey for our staff to safely travel — we’ll be closed at all locations on Thursday, January 4th due to the blizzard.
The parking meters on Broadway have finally made it into the 21st century — if you’re driving on the way to us, you no longer need to grab quarters.
In 2018 we’ll be turning 10 years old & are hatching plans to mark the occasion. We still have a couple relics around the office from back then, like this bag of Kiandu from the 2007-2008 harvest.
Need coffee? We have extended hours tomorrow at barismo 171 for your last minute Christmas needs.
Thanks for making this our busiest Christmas week ever — this photo is from yesterday’s production. We ran out of surfaces to put bags on and had to start double stacking every rack. We’ll be open all weekend in mid-Cambridge & Arlington (including special extended Christmas Eve hours in Arlington).
Our first batch of the day is rolling. If you’re in New England, you still have time to get a webstore order by Christmas — order by 11AM and we will roast and ship today.
In New England & want to order coffee before Christmas? Tomorrow is last call for most zip codes to get orders by Saturday. Order by 11AM tomorrow to ship same day, roasted within 24 hours.
