  Cheers-
As most of our group heads off in different directions while the holidays bear down on us, I had to take a moment to look back at where we have come from and where we are going.
A couple of thanks and shout outs to friends first of all, it's my sandbox and we roll like that.
In no particular order...
Good luck to friends making the move to new digs. We are proud to know you and grateful you shared with us the experiences you have shared. Truly 'brothers in arms' and you always have a place here with us. I can only imagine great things going forward for you.
A welcome to those flickr foodies moving into the city this summer and we are looking forward to sharing old experiences and moving towards new ones.
A special shout out to old friends in the deep south. Here's hoping that new job opportunities turn into something greater in the long term. And to new friends who are froogling freezers like back in the day when there were people here searching out freezers at Carberries to do the same style experiments. It's amazing to draw parallels but who knows where things will lead. Thanks for the support and the words of encouragement and here's to looking forward.
A special thanks for the invite to the trip ahead and huge props to our prospective host for letting me pick his brain so much and see things more clearly through the eyes of the people on the farms.
Thanks to a friend in the mile high for offering us the equipment to play with and especially for hanging around with our site since back in the day. It's cool to know you are out there and that we may someday get to muse over espresso together.
A shout out to local friends who helped me out back in the day when I got thrown into a competition on a few days notice. It's nice to know you guys are doing well with the new store and that you are still around the site.
A big thanks to hpatt for getting me focused, giving me some perspective and for being a cool guy. I look forward to your mentoring going forward.
Thanks to the local guru, the cheerleader of the farmer and the genius, for breaking ground and pushing in directions others would dare not consider.
A big thanks to our friends on the other coast, who we are lucky to know and hope to move forward working with in the future. I believe we owe you lunch when you guys are gonna be in town.
A big shout out to Judson. A thank you for hanging around since the early days and being one of the best barista I know.
Last but not least, A big thanks to readers, people who have emailed us, contributed sincere comments, linked to us, and been the reason we keep posting.

Today, Ben is no longer an 'angry home user.' He's very happy and with good reason. We have everything to look forward to right now and things are finally making headway in some big ways. There are highs and lows in this business but the truth is you have to focus on the people who matter and ignore the noise. Ben is excited and that's good because to be honest, it takes one flame to keep the fire going and right now that is Ben.
Silas is working on his new project coming out soon. He's lining up a few sweet interviews and some great articles so keep an eye out.
Kaminsky is headed out west to visit family and old coffee friends.
And as for me, I am headed out to visit family in the next month before the trip. You can expect a flurry of great posts and pictures when I get back in February. It has been requested and I will comply. Got to dust off the SLR and get some film for this one.

That leaves me with the fact that we will be less frequent in updating over the next month. Ben, Silas, and Kaminsky will be on the wire to put up quality stuff after the holiday break. I am sure there will be no shortage of quality topics to discuss and I, as a reader, will be interested to see what they post. With that said...
Enjoy the Holidays,

Jaime
